Perhaps you also want a solid wood dining room table that will last for years.
Below you will find some useful tips to find the best (sustainable) table for you!

Why a sustainable table?

An industrial or modern table can look sexy and still be very durable!

Sustainability is not just about manufacturing products well.
By enjoying a table for a long time, the table will last for years if used properly and cared for properly!

Using a quality table for longer means spending less money in the long run.

You can also buy a table from one of the well-known Scandinavian companies. Then try to assemble the furniture properly after moving. Often it happens that the product is rather rickety and has deteriorated considerably in quality.
This does not often occur with sustainable good products.

With a long lifespan, there is a lower CO2 emission. The emission that is produced during felling, making and transport will be lower spread over the many years. This in comparison with a lesser type of wood or non-sustainably obtained solid wood table.
For example, go for the sustainable solid wood Asura side table. Click here, see the Asura

FSC wood sustainability quality mark

An FSC quality mark shows that the wood of your furniture is sustainable. This is not only good for your conscience, but also nice to ask. Especially when a mango wood table is sold as sustainable, but the characteristic cannot be guaranteed.

FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) is an international quality mark with strict requirements for sustainable and social forest management , supported by governments, companies and environmental organizations. It has two levels, with FSC guaranteeing 100% that the wood comes entirely from responsibly managed forests.

"Sustainable design is fantastic and even trendy"

An example of sustainable design is this Hugo tree trunk table, made entirely from sustainable & solid Acacia wood.

Great for dining with a large group. Easy to maintain! Lukewarm cloth over it and once a year recommended to use furniture oil.
The wood gives the table a warm and cozy appearance.
Good for many years of enjoyment.

The dimensions and shape

One of the first criteria you look at is the dimensions. Before you buy the great robust table, try to measure the dimensions in the house.

Tip! Look at the length and width of a table and tape this on the floor at the desired location. This way you can still move or decide to take a smaller or larger coffee table.

If you want to dine with many people on a smaller surface, try a round table. If you position the table well, you can sometimes seat more people on the same table surface.

A sturdy wooden table with a square shape often fits well and is easier to move. More space for your delicious 5-course dinners.
